Chancery Lane

Chancery Lane is my next stop on the Central Line since I have already covered Holborn before. This is an area with court houses and lawyers' offices.

Tottenham Court Road

Continuing on the Central Line. my next stop is Tottenham Court Road, once a popular place to buy electronic goods such as hi fi, cameras, and audio-video systems. It's landmark is West End's tallest building, Centre Point. Its is a busy part of London with theatres, restaurants and places of interests within walking distance.

Oxford Circus

Bond Street station is on Oxford Street situated between Marble Arch and Oxford Circus all within walking distance of each other. It has been closed for engineering works for quite some time. Oxford Street is the busiest shopping town in London. Lined both sides with high street retailers and big names like Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Fraser, it stretches from Marble Arch to Tottenham Court Road. Liberty is just off Oxford Circus. London Palladium is also within walking distance from the station. Today Regents Street was closed off for a display of London buses of the future.

Marble Arch

Marble Arch underground station is at one end of the infamous Oxford Street. Bustling with tourist shoppers and sight-seers, Hyde Park is also easily accessible. Speakers Corner has recently reopened, so I popped along to  find out what people standing on their make-shift steps have to say for themselves. My conclusion is that most of the speakers want you to know that their religion and beliefs are the only one you should follow.
