Leytonstone

Leytonstone is a fairly busy large town. I guess for big shopping sprees the residents will be heading to Stratford Centre.

Leyton

Leyton is a small town to the east of Stratford. Queen Elizabeth Olumpic Park is within reach. Across the road from the station is a small recreational ground called Coronation Gardens for chilling out.

Stratford

Stratford is where the summer Olympics of 2012 was held. The Olympic stadium is now converted to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park where there are lots of recreational sport facilities. The Aquatic centre is still there and open to public use. There is also a large shopping centre with indoor markets. Right across from the Stratford shopping Centre is Westfield. The whole town was bustling on a scorching Saturday. Tons of eateries and public seats along in the area make it attractive to visitors.

Mile End

Mile End is a busy little town with a lot of foreign students wandering around as the Queen Mary University and campus is right in the town area. There is also a recreational park with water features close by. Surprisingly on a Saturday, the park was absolutely empty. Bliss!!

Bethnal Green

A rather busy little town, Bethnal Green in East London is in the Borough of Tower Hamlets. The Museum of Childhood is within walking distance and opposite the station there is a park with beautiful gardens and the library.

Bank

When I left for Bank on the Central Line, it was a beautiful sunny day. As I stepped off the station, it was wet and getting wetter by the minute. Didn't get to see around the area as much as I wanted to. The main landmarks are the London Magistrate Courts and Royal Exchange. There were people in business suits bustling around. Wondered whether they finish at 4pm in those state of the art glass buildings.

St Paul's

Within reach of St Paul's station is the infamous Cathedral. Tourists flock there to photograph the building or chill out on the steps when there is no significant event. Some part of it is even open to the public to sit inside and join in their services.
