Hainault

Hainault was my last stop for the day as I got tired of visiting ghost towns. The station was absolutely devoid of humans at around 4.30 pm on a Saturday. The town itself is small with few shops. A residential town for sure. 

Grange Hill

Grange Hill lies is in the Epping Forest district in Essex. Another quiet town on the central line. I have the odd feeling that either the population in this part of the world is rather small or everyone has gone into central London to do their Saturday shopping or wining and dining.

Chigwell

The next station onwards is Chigwell. Almost as deserted as Roding Valley, this station has character. Love the poles along the platform. A rather quaint little station.

Roding Valley

I love the name Roding Valley. A small quiet town with hardly any sign of life around. The station is so tiny there is not staffed ticket office or barrier to exit. I have never seen such an empty station on a Saturday, no less.

Woodford

Woodford is in the Borough of Redbridge. A rather upmarket suburban town, boasting some large mansions built by businessmen.

South Woodford

South Woodford Station is quite a distance from the main shopping area which is in the high street around George Lane area.

Snaresbrook

I am back from a short break due to the 'flu'. Continuing on the Central Line towards North East London, the next stop is Snaresbrook. Rather a nice name for a nice little village. Very serene and is a conservation area. Lots of greenery and small parade f shops for the locals.
