Upton Park

Upton Park is fairly busy town with retail shops on both sides of the main street. It is also home to West Ham football stadium. The large market and shops are predominantly Asian including the newly built East shopping mall.

Plaistow

Plaistow situated in the Borough of Newham is a residential area including several council estates. If there is a large shopping centre it is not within walking distance of the tube station. Shops for local residents on both sides of the High Street were the ones I saw.

West Ham

West Ham was a bit of a disappointment. I was expecting it to be a busy town with a football stadium but it is not within the area. The town consists of residential houses with few shops. It is quite dead.

Bromley-by-Bow

Bromley-by-Bow is situated in the Borough of Tower Hamlets in East London. It is a very small town between Bow and Poplar. Lots of high rise and run down buildings in the area.

Bow Road

Bow Road is situated on Bow Road. Within walking distance is The college of technology and Thames Magistrates Court. Pretty quiet little town.

Stepney Green

Stepney Green is situation in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in London's East London. Apart from some retail shops, there wasn't much around.
