Monument

This station got its name from the landmark, monument. London Bridge connects the town to the south side of the river with spectacular views of Tower Bridge.

Cannon Street

Cannon Street station is within walking distance from Mansion House. It is only open from Monday to Saturday because of its purpose of serving the city workers. As you can imagine, being in the heart of the city means surrounded by modern high rise offices.

Mansion House

Mansion House on the District and Circle Lines is a busy town in the city. Tons of men is suits and women dressed in office clothes seem to be rushing from one place to another. The are a few eateries around and local supermarkets. The place is covered with high rise office blocks.

Blackfriars

Further along the Victoria Embankment is Blackfriars. Take the Blackfriars Bridge to cross the river if you want to get to Globe theatre. The Crown Plaza is the main landmark as you exit the station.

Temple

Temple station is on the river front. Walking along the embankment London Eye is still in view. Across the other side of the river is the infamous Oxo building. Temple houses a lot of theatres including the Lyceum and landmarks such as The Royal Courts of Justice and King's College. Another tourist attraction. London Fashion Week happens to be on at Somerset House on my trip there today. A lot of crowd but not many fashiionistas.
