Baker Street

Wow! Onwards into Central London is always exciting. Tourists galore as attractions such as Madam Tussauds, Sherlock Holmes Museum and Regent's Park tend to create congregations. The London City Tour buses also have their starting point here. I love hanging out here just walking around aimlessly and mingling with the tourists. I have just found out that Regent's Park is actually a few minutes from Baker Street station by following the stream of tourists.

Finchley Road

Going into North London, Finchley Road is in the Borough of Camden. It is next to the O2 shopping Centre. There is quite a buzz here with tons of quality shops on both sides of the main road. Great day out for shopping.

Wembley Park

Wembley Park is the home of Wembley Stadium thus making it a busy station. On Sundays, there is the infamous Sunday Market in the stadium's car park.

Preston Road

Continuing on the Metropolitan Line into Brent, the next stop is Preston Road. The large Asian population here means a wide variety of Asian groceries and eateries on a short busy street to serve the locals.

Northwick Park

Northwick Park is on the Metropolitan Line. It primarily serves commuters for Northwick Park and St Mark's Hospital and University of Westminster. The station itself is set in a very residential area. There is large park close by for exercise and relaxation. There is no town in the vicinity.

Chesham

Finally, I have come to the end of the Metropolitan Line. Well, the North-west end, I mean. Chesham is a busy little town with a market square. Not sure if the market stalls are there everyday but they were already packing up when I got there around 2pm! This town has a community feel to it unlike modern ones with Poundlands and 99p Stores all over the place. Oh! if anyone is looking for bargains, there are charity shops galore here. It seems like every other shop was a charity shop of some kind. Of course, I am exaggerating but they are plentiful.

Chalfont & Latimer

The underground station of Chalfont & Latimer is on the Metropolitan Line. It is situated away from any busy towns so only accessible by car or bus.
